A guide to the fees and expenses involved when carrying out a construction project.
Having received planning approval we can then prepare detailed working drawings, together with a full building specification, and submit these to the local authority to obtain Building Regulations approval on your behalf.
We have built up a very good working relationship and have a partnering agreement with Huntingdon District Council and if required they will attend meetings and become part of ‘the design team’ in the early stages of the detailed design process. In addition, we are in regular contact with the Planning Departments of many other regional District Councils, so we know how to communicate with planners effectively and efficiently.
The Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) is the methodology used to assess and compare the energy and environmental performance of a building. It is now a requirement for all new dwellings as part of the Building Regulations approval process.
The SAP involves assessing how much energy a dwelling will consume and how much carbon dioxide (CO2) will be emitted in delivering a defined level of comfort and service provision, based on standardised occupancy conditions. We have built up a good working relationship with a number of SAP assessment companies and are happy to organise this as part of our standard service on your behalf.
As an RIBA Chartered Practice we are qualified to administer any JCT building contract on your behalf between your company and the building contractor.
Every project is different, so what is appropriate for one developer and project might not suit the next. We always tailor the services we provide to match our clients’ wishes, so please talk to us and see what we can do for you.
